Horizon Building Group was founded by Robb Constantine and Lee Garrity. Robb and Lee had the opportunity to work together for several years and found that while their individual strengths and weaknesses differed, their respective commitments to honesty and integrity were aligned and unwavering. Those principles along with a passion to deliver successful construction projects on time and on budget inspired them to start anew company. The construction industry is very much a relationship-driven business, and Robb and Lee enjoy the relationships they have developed throughout their years in the industry. They don’t just want to be your builder; they want to be your partner. With a combined 40 years of construction expertise and a multi-faceted project portfolio, they are positioned to overcome the challenges of most any project. Their clients’ complete satisfaction is always their top priority and at the forefront of all they do.
Robb graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He has held a variety of positions in the construction industry including general laborer, superintendent, project manager, vice president, and president. He has also launched or acquired several construction companies in his career, filling, in some capacity, every role needed for the company to run successfully. Robb has also managed a wide range of project types including precast, steel, and wood-framed structures across several market sectors. While he is no stranger to commercial and industrial projects, he has become an expert in the multi-family sector, procuring and managing thousands of units throughout his career. He believes that just like every construction project is different, so is every client. The key to his success has not only been knowing every detail of his projects but putting that same energy into understanding his clients and their needs. Bringing value and delivering a great project are important, but a happy client is equally important. Robb’s passion for construction is in his blood – his grandpa drove bulldozers and his dad built houses. He feels that construction is an exciting process and ensuring that his clients share in that excitement is especially important to him. He believes that bringing comfort to his clients by being versed in the most current methodologies, products, and pricing, then communicating in a clear concise way that can be understood by all, is paramount. Through integrity, great communication, and accountability, the excitement of construction can be shared with everyone involved from inception to completion. In his free time, Robb enjoys spending time with his wife and family, finding new places to travel and adventure, and enjoying the great outdoors. Be it a hike in the woods or a day on the water with his favorite hardware, he is in his element. Robb also enjoys sporting clays, driving fast on the course, of course, and time on his tractor trying his hand at farming.
Lee graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associates of Science in Construction Engineering Technologies. He has held a variety of positions in the construction industry ranging from assistant project manager and superintendent to general manager and vice president of construction. He has also managed a wide range of project types including high rise post-tensioned concrete, precast, steel, and wood-framed structures across several market sectors. Lee’s passion for the construction industry stems from the sense of pride that comes from driving by a completed project for years to come, reflecting on the relationships built, lessons learned, and memories made during the project’s construction. He believes that while challenging, construction should be an enjoyable process for all involved. Making a construction dream a reality can be a seemingly daunting process, and his top priority is ensuring that his clients are well informed and never feel overwhelmed. He accomplishes this through clear, consistent communication from pre-construction through closeout. In his free time, Lee enjoys vacationing with his wife and finding new trails to walk with his chocolate lab. He enjoys exploring the United States and Canada and visiting national parks. He has been to 47 of 50 states and 22 national parks throughout the US. He also enjoys classic cars, off-road driving, target shooting, and the occasional brewery.
